Dog’s Best Friend

“Dog’s Best Friend” is the hypothetical design solution that aims to eliminate the aesthetic biases humans have when choosing their pets by having photographs/breed information absent. The hypothetical campaign also aims to shift the norm of people buying animals from breeders or shops, to adopting or fostering from shelters. By heroing the dog’s personalities, “Dog’s Best Friend” takes away the consumerist attitudes and aspirational element to pet ownership that was identified in research.

Through creative ideation and lots of research, I created this concept in response to a social design brief; creating a campaign that will benefit animal’s wellbeing. “Dog’s Best Friend” would partner with animal adoption agencies to pair potential adopters with their perfect furry friend. This would be based on a questionnaire about their lifestyle, removing the aesthetics of animal ownership. Below is the branding suite that I created for “Dog’s Best Friend”!
